FOR SCHOOLS

Past papers, custom assessments and smarter revision for your school.

Give students curriculum-aligned topical practice, custom mock examinations and a connected revision workflow — and give teachers back the hours that go into finding questions and building papers.

Every Momentum account is free for teachers and students. A pilot adds help setting it up, not features, and nothing becomes paid when it ends.

  • Aligned to the syllabus you teach

Questions are filed under the chapters of each board’s syllabus, so practice and tests follow your scheme of work rather than the order of one past paper.

  • Less preparation

Every past-paper question on a chapter is in one list, and a printed mock with its mark scheme takes minutes rather than an evening.

  • Students who keep revising

Each student gets a review board that knows their syllabus and brings topics back when they are due, so practice carries on between lessons.

TOPICAL PAST PAPERS

Every question on a chapter, from every paper

186,507 past-paper questions, each cut from a published paper and filed under the syllabus chapter it examines, most with their part of the mark scheme. Search a chapter, filter by paper, year and marks, and star the ones you want to use.

Every board and subject

CUSTOM EXAM BUILDER

Printed mocks from the chapters you have taught

Choose the chapters a class has covered, the number of questions and the time, and the builder draws a paper from real past-paper questions. The paper and its mark scheme print as separate PDFs.

  • Your school’s name and logo on the cover
  • Chapter names hidden, to sit it as a real exam
  • Questions hand-picked instead of drawn, when you want them
How the exam builder works
A ten-question mock being sat: a clock at 29:59, Paper PDF and Mark scheme PDF buttons, the questions numbered 1 to 10 with 2 current, and question 2, an oil drop held between charged plates, with its mark scheme opened underneath showing the answer A.
A mock drawn from two chapters and sat a page at a time, with this question’s scheme opened under it.

CLASS TESTS

Multiple-choice tests a class sits from a link

Draw a test from chapters, pick it question by question, or set one whole real paper. Students sit it from a link with a free account, against a clock the server keeps.

  • A time limit, a due date, and a shuffled order for each student
  • What students see afterwards is your choice: everything, everything after the due date, or their score only
  • Each student’s score, time and answers; each question’s share right and the wrong letter that drew the most
  • Classes with a join link of their own, and every result as a CSV

SMART REVIEW BOARD

A revision board for every student

Students who sign up get their syllabus preloaded, every chapter and spec point. The review board brings each topic back when it is due, today’s plan cuts the work to the time they have, and the questions they get wrong in your tests join their list of mistakes to put right.

How the review board works
Today's plan in Momentum: 2 hours 28 minutes of study recommended, six sessions out of the three hours available, then a 40-minute task due today and three review sessions — progressive waves three days overdue and rated hard, stationary waves two days overdue, and a maths series chapter — each with Start, Finish and Skip beside it.
The day itself: each session with its subject, its minutes, and the reason it made the list.

The boards and qualifications covered

Topical questions for Cambridge IGCSE, O Level and AS & A Level; Pearson Edexcel International GCSE and International A Level; AQA and OCR GCSE, AS and A Level; the IB Diploma; and SPM. Each board’s page lists its subjects, and each subject its chapters.

THREE-MONTH PILOT

Try it with your department for a term

A pilot is Momentum with someone to help you set it up. For three months we work with your department to get it running, and listen to what it needs.

  • Setting up teacher accounts and your first classes
  • Building your first tests and printed mocks with you
  • A short walkthrough for teachers, and one for students
  • Regular check-ins, with your feedback shaping what comes next

Every feature is already free for individual teachers and students. A pilot adds hands-on help, not features, and nothing becomes paid when it ends.

Not built yet

  • School-wide accounts or rosters: each teacher and student signs up with their own free account.
  • A department dashboard: results stay with the teacher who set each test.
  • Sending a built written paper to a class inside Momentum: those are printed, and multiple-choice tests are set from a link.
